Apparently, he has been known to take advantage of a lack of oversight to get a good one in on another child. This comes as no surprise: Gideon has been trying to take advantage of such lapses since he was four months old. The Robin Hood bit, and the surprising bit at that, is that he only pinches the larger and more bullying children.

Nobility of purpose, perhaps, or perhaps it's just that he's used to trying to get a good one in on Felix and doesn't recognize smaller children as potential targets. Or maybe he just really is a hero. I know he's mine.
